Ovulation Induction And Follicular Tracking
At Renewed Fertility Clinic, we offer Ovulation Induction & Follicular Tracking services for women who have difficulties ovulating. This inability to ovulate is known as Anovulation and most commonly caused by PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects a woman’s hormone levels. Women with PCOS produce higher than normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes them to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant. PCOS affects the ovaries and ovulation. The main features of PCOS are:
PCOS interrupts the normal menstrual cycle of a woman which leads to fertility problems. However, women with PCOS can get pregnant by undergoing fertility treatments that improve menstrual cycle and ovulation. At our clinics, we use a combination of Hormonal Assessment tests and Ultrasound scans to monitor the woman’s cycle and diagnose anovulation. After diagnosis, treatment is carried out by administering hormonal drugs to stimulate egg production. This increases the number of eggs produced per cycle, therefore, improving the chances of pregnancy. When patients start the use of these medications, they are closely monitored for a period of time, via ultrasounds, to determine their response to the treatment. Based on the patient’s results, intercourse is advised, or an injection of HCG is given to facilitate the timing of intercourse or intrauterine insemination (IUI).
